I really miss the other games you guys used to play like "Say It" and any other prank calls. I really enjoyed those. Especially when the guests got into it as well... Can we bring back the prank calls?

I'm not going to say 'no' but I will say it's not likely anytime soon. There are several reasons that we're getting away from this that I'd rather not get into here.

Prank calls were Mike's thing, and, frankly, he was the only one good at them (no offense, guys).

I know a lot of listeners really enjoyed them, but I'm actually glad to not have them. I thought they brought the show down, especially when done too often. I always thought they were better kept to Mike's snack.

Haha... once again, Karen and I disagree on something. I always thought that the phone games were the best part of the show. But believe me, I completely understand getting away from them. They were always kinda Mike's fort, eh? While I think it would be awesome to bring them back, the segment might suffer by comparison. Save it for a special occasion, like when Seamonkey or Cpt Dan comes on.

But if I can interject some constructive criticism, one thing that is missing from the new show is having it broken up into distinctive segments.

With the phone games, it was a totally different segment (in terms of pacing, style, and content) It helped to break the show up into 4 distinct segments.

1) intro, weeks, mails
2) phone game
3) interview
4) game

Each of these was of a different sound and style. They made nice breaking points if you couldn't listen to a full 3 hour show.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new discussion segments. I always like when you guys do freetalk. Perhaps it would be fun to have a live listener suggest a topic and call in.

That would be nice, we suggest it every week here and on the show. There were 20-30 people in the live chat last Friday and no calls. Bring it, Tommy! wink.gif

Agreed. I liked them but they were done way too often.
