I hate being in the 'Catch-22' area of my career. You know...where you can't get a job without experience, and you can't get experience without a job...

I hear you... The only reason that I stay at my current job is for the "experience" on my resume for when I get the next job... I'm technically a Design Specialist, but I am actually performing the duties of literally six different positions. I work balls to the wall from clock-in to clock-out and still can't keep up with all the work that I'm expected to do. I do have a job, though, which is sadly something to consider oneself lucky for these days.

Yeah, due to having an Associates & not a Bachelors, plus no tangible experience, I'm in a weird place. I'm over qualified for "crappy" jobs (call center tech support, big box stores), but under qualified for "entry-level." It's driving me nuts!
However, I have noticed a rise in job postings in my field lately, which gives me a little hope. Still looking like I'm going to have to sell my soul back to a call center, at least for a little while. -------------------- ![]() ![]() Courtesy of DigitalNight |
